Privacy Policy
This policy covers the Easy Bake app and the Business By Design website, both operated by Business By Design in South Africa.
What we collect
Your email address. It is your account name and how we know whether your subscription is active. It is the only personal information we hold on our server.
A device identifier. When you install the app it creates a random code for that installation. It is not linked to your phone's hardware and tells us nothing about you — it exists only so we can see how many devices an account is being used on.
What stays on your device
Your orders, customers, recipes, prices and bakery details are stored on your own device and are never sent to us. We cannot see them, and we cannot recover them for you if you lose your device — please keep your own backups.
Payments
Payments are processed by Payfast. We never see or store your card or bank details. We record only the amount, the date and Payfast's reference number, so we can confirm your subscription and answer questions about it.
Who we share it with
Nobody. We do not sell, rent or share your information, and we do not run advertising or analytics in the app. Our website is hosted by Afrihost in South Africa, and payments go through Payfast — those are the only third parties involved.
How long we keep it
We keep your account record for as long as you have a subscription, and for two years after it ends so we can restore your access if you come back. Payment records are kept for five years as our tax law requires.
Your rights
Under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act you may ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account. Email us and we will do it within 30 days. Deleting your server account does not delete the records on your own device — uninstalling the app does that.
Children
Easy Bake is made for people running a business and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, for anything significant, tell subscribers by email.
